The dark and despair memory of the Holocaust can create a path of hope and realization for anyone willing to look past their bubble. To achieve this, our proposed memorial creates an educational experience that will touch visitors with an impactful realization of awareness. Upon approach the light floods the floor from the bottom of the memorial delineating a sacred space, luring the boardwalk's pedestrians. Once inside the sloping cobbles stone flooring, the visitors transition into a state of remembrance of the lives lost in the Holocaust. Overhead mirrors reflect their faces (your face) creating an empathetic association with oneself and the victims. This experiential epiphany is meant to remind us that this could happen to us and every day of life is a blessing.
