The design concept for this hand-roll bar was heavily inspired by Japan's iconic fish markets − archetypal atmospheres of any coastal city in the country.

Floor-Plan (Hero).jpg

The goal was to recreate the sensory and cultural experience of these markets in an urban setting.

The humble facade gently opens outwards,

creating an overhead skirt for the bar's clients

The modern and minimalist palette of gray browns, the black stone floor tiles, the natural wooden walls, and the hanging wooden piece − resembling the movements of Koi fish − at the project's core all enforce the proposed concept.
